The StoStic is quite a bit different from other cue sticks or partner sticks, handy sticks, friendly sticks, traditional buggy whips or dressage whips, lunge whips, etc.

8.5 inches long

For starters, most cue sticks are made out of stiff fiberglass poles (the same exact ones they use for the fiberglass temporary electric fencing as a matter of fact!) with a rubber golf grip to hang on to on one end and either a leather or flexible rubber end with a loop for attaching a 4' string or flag (plastic bag, etc) too. But they are heavy and not always handy.

The StoStic behaves very differently then a buggy whip or cue stick in your hand. It lighter and has MUCH less flex too it and is used more as a true extension of your arm...

The true intent of ANY cue stick is not for abuse on horses, it's to EXTEND YOUR REACH while keeping your body out of the kick/strike zone, therefore keeping you safer.

4 feet long

The StoStic can be used as an extension of your arm to teach, control, reinforce, refine and desensitize, either on the ground or on the horses back.

With a string attached to the StoStic you end up with 4' of stick, 4' of string and 4' of arm or about 12' of length to reach out to your horse with... This is the same length of line most trainers use, 12' lead line, so you have equal control and balance of reach and movement allowance (12') WHICH also keeps you just out of kick and strike zone of most horses.

Timing and rhythm are the KEY factors to any successful training so using equipment that is balanced and properly responsive to your needs makes all the difference in quality and effectiveness of results.

It is probably one of the most valuable tools in teaching a horse lateral longeing.

The StoStic training sticks are ultra lightweight and finely balanced for extra sensitivity. The weight is around half that of the usual cue stick, making it ideal for all day professional use.

Countless times I have seen riders get off to look for a suitable branch and hope it works for a sending tool… or, we've all done this, ride up closely to the sticky footed horse and use the end of our reins to pop them on the butt.  Dangerous place to be if someone wants to kick.

Have you ever tried to carry a cue stick with you on the trail?  Or left it in the round pen and now you need it in the barn?  Trying to load a horse into the trailer?

Use the StoStic for sending over obstacles.  Parking out or loading in the trailer.  Stows away in your pony pack, saddle bag or clips to the saddle.  Grab your StoStic and with a simple flick of the wrist and you have a 4 foot long sending stick to your job done.

Hikers ~ Walkers Take Note:  Do you have problems with loose dogs rushing you?  Put the StoStic in your jacket or back pocket, clip it to your belt loop the next time you go for a hike or take the dogs out for a walk.  The StoStic works great for fending off unwanted visitors of either the two or four-legged variety.  Stow the StoStic in your backpack.  It also works great if you want to go off trail and poke around in the brush.
